InfoTech today announces iColl 2.3, an update to their task management app for iOS devices.
Designed especially for hierarchically-structured small businesses, iColl helps anyone delegate and distribute daily tasks and assignments among a group of individuals. Users can monitor the progress of projects by receiving immediate notifications of which assignments are open, accepted, declined, or completed. iColl features real-time synchronization and can be utilized both online and offline.
iColl offers quick task creation with intuitive controls. After creating a To-Do, the user can specify due dates, set alerts, and assign a project folder for quick access. iColl provides three standard folders: All, Without Groups, and Important. All contains all todos, Without groups reports All to-dos without groups, and Important reflects all to-dos that are marked as important. All other folders/groups can be created or customized. Tasks can also be delegated to others from this screen, although the employee or team member must first accept an invitation from the user and install iColl on his or her device. Invitations are sent from the iColl Settings menu and require only the recipients name and email address.

iColl provides easy monitoring of a tasks status through push notifications and alerts. The user always knows whether an assignment is open, has been accepted, declined, or completed by a simple color-coded system. If the bar next to the task is blue, the task still needs to be done. If the bar next to the task box is green, the task has been done. If the bar next to the task box is red, the task is marked declined. If the bar next to the task box is grey, the task is still open and has not been accepted nor declined. In the event of no response, the user can send a "poke" reminder to obtain a reply. To ensure efficiency and successful task management, iColl features real-time synchronization and can be utilized both online and offline.
The user interface of iColl is simple and intuitive, offering ease for the user to determine the status of a task or assignment. At the bottom of the display, users can review tasks through 4 categories: News, To Handle, Delegated, and Received. Each of these categories help organize tasks and their status. If a task is delegated, it will appear under the Delegated tab with the name of the person it is assigned to. Under Received, the user will find any tasks that have been assigned to him or her. To Handle lists all tasks the user must do. This list reflects their own tasks as well as the assigned ones. All categories include an additional viewing filter that allows the user to display tasks according to the status of the task. By selecting Grouped, all tasks are grouped by the status rather than the name of the collaborator. The New category shows a summary of all tasks whose status has been modified. One click on the task removes it from the New category. The tasks always appear in the other categories.
iColl fosters collaboration and communication between colleagues, and is a great way to stay on top of projects. Everyone knows what task they are assigned and when it is due. The supervisor can also monitor deadlines and make certain their employees are held accountable for the work they are supposed to do. iColl is a great tool for increasing productivity and delegating project tasks.
